Naming baby according to zodiac sign?
My sister is pregnant and wants to name her daughter according to her zodiac sign, but she still wants it to be unique. I’m obsessed with astrology and she asked for my help, her baby is going to be either a Leo or a Virgo. I decided to look at the actual names of the stars in both constellations, and I want different people’s opinions!
In Leo there is a star called Amber Marie Legros, and I think Amber and Marie are both beautiful names for a girl, and Amber-Marie as one name is pretty adorable in my opinion. There is also a star call Susu, which could be modified to Susan, but I think Amber is prettier
For Virgo, there are a couple pretty star names. Aurora and Sonia are both stars in Virgo, and a pretty sounding star that would be a more unique name is Zaniah, which means beautiful according to the sites I have looked at.
Her daughter is due right on the cusp (August 22nd) so these are named for both! What do you think?
Wow I never would’ve thought to look at star names, that’s pretty genius! If she wants to give her baby a zodiac related name, her middle name should be something to represent her moon sign to make it more personal. If she’s born within a week of her due date, her moon sign will be between Pisces and Virgo. If she within a week early, and is a Leo, her moon sign could be Pisces, Aries, Taurus, or Gemini. If she’s late and turns out to be a Virgo (starts the 23rd this year) and is born within a week of her birthdate, she could have a Gemini, Cancer, Leo, or Virgo moon. With a Leo or Virgo moon, you’ve already researched names so she could be Aurora Sonia, Sonia Amber, or Zaniah Marie. Cancer doesn’t really have cool star names for girls, but you could name her after the moon in that case, Cancer’s planet, and have a middle name of some form of Celine, or Delia and Diana, both names of the Greek/Roman goddess of the moon. Aurora Celine is a very pretty name. A Gemini moon would be a tricky one for a moon sign because I can’t find much in the way of obvious Gemini names for girls. Maybe have the middle name of June or Juno to represent Gemini’s month. Amber June or Sonia June are good examples of that. For Taurus, you could use May. Amber May sounds very pretty. Tameka and Tammy both mean twin, but I think Tammy sounds a bit weird as a middle name. For Taurus, Estelle and Danika both mean morning star or Venus, Taurus’s ruling planet, or Taura which means bull. Amber Estelle is my favorite combination. April could be used for Aries, but since it would only happen if the baby was a Leo, Amber April sounds kinda off. Marcella, Marcia, Marsha, and Martina all relate to Mars, Aries’ planet. Amber Marcella has a nice ring to it. For Pisces moon, Dylan means “of the sea” as does Marina and plenty other names that you shouldn’t have trouble finding. I hope I was of some help! Amber is my favorite Leo name and Aurora is my favorite Virgo name. Sonia is also pretty, and Zaniah is nice, but I think it’s a bit too unusual.
